I know we have had the World Cup, but that wasn’t enough for me! I am already looking forward to getting back into football, so I’m going to pop down to TK Maxx to pick up a pair of footy boots for the new season.

I’m also going to pick up a gym bag from Depot Xtra to keep all my new kit in.

And they think it’s all over!

With the World Cup nearly over and done with for another four years, it’s time for me to think about other things rather than football!  We’re planning a big family BBQ next week, so I’m going to pick up some lovely bright coloured cutlery, plates and bowls from TK Maxx to take along. I’ll also be taking along some lovely kebabs, fresh salad and a bottles of beer from Somerfield – now let’s just hope the weather holds out for it.

Come on England!!

“Come on England!!”  You may have guessed that I am so excited about our first game this weekend! To celebrate, I’m planning a massive World Cup party at my house on Saturday afternoon. In preparation for this I’ll be taking a trip down to Poundworld and stocking up on their great England themed items – I love the horn and clackers, perfect for celebrating when we score! I’ll also be taking a trip to Tescos as well to stock up on drinks and snacks ready for the party!

Prepare for the Summer months….

My top tip for this time of year is to start preparing for the Summer nice and early.  In the past I have left it a bit too late!

I like to head down to the gym and start building my muscles up ready for the really hot days when I need to bare all. So I suggest paying a trip to TK Maxx to stock up on all your gym equipment.

For those of you out there that feel a bit pale but dont get chance to sun themselves, Primark have a great fake tan in store for just £1.50 - or so I have heard! ;-)

I hope you all managed to come to the Real Living Show and check out this seasons clothes. If not make sure you watch the podcast on the home page!

I had a blast doing the show and felt so much more confident on stage this time round. I would like to thank those of you who were there cheering me on and making me feel welcome on stage.  ;-)

After the Easter eggs have been consumed and the roast dinner has been finished, it could be time to get out and about.

A well-balanced life style is easy to achieve and it’s important to make it fun! Pop into TK Maxx and treat yourself to some new kit for the gym. Or make the most of the weather warming up and get on your bike and get active! Perhaps you could pick up a few items to help you work out at home, for example, a fit ball used in Pilates.

Mother’s Day 14th March

As with most special occasions and events, Mother’s Day will warrant a card. Card Factory has a range of humorous and special cards that are sure to spread a smile on your Mum’s face.

Perhaps for the kids, it’s best to get creative and help them make a home-made card.  Head to Poundland where you can pick all the materials to make a the perfect card; add some sparkle with glitter pens, multi-coloured pens, card, tissue paper and stickers, all you need to make a unique card Mum can keep forever.

Valentine’s Day Top Tip

Thoughtfulness can go a long way, so set aside some quality time together.

Set the perfect tone for a first date with sensational but simple dishes from Somerfield that will leave your partner hungry for more.

If you’re settled with your soul mate but still smitten, rustle up a lavish feast for two, opt for simple canapés followed by a sensuous Italian dish and top for the evening with a bottle of classy red and a sweet dessert.

New Years Resolution

I have decided that I want to be more adventurous in 2010.

For me this means I am going to try to discover new cultures and see new places.  I plan to pay a visit to Thomson to see what great deals I can find to start exploring!

But being more adventurous can be anything from starting a new hobby, having a new hair cut or as Katy suggests changing the way you dress.

I hope all is well, and people around Leicester are preparing for christmas. Since my last post I have been involved with the haymarket in the advertising campaign with the ‘digivans’ which were around the city centre for the four saturdays in october. For those who got a chance to see them I am sure you will agree that they outfit I was wearing was a great look. what a bargain outfit, Jeans, shirt, and tie all under £30 from peacocks and very smart aswell. I then did my first fashion show last weekend which I thought was a great success. I modelled 5 outfits on the day which again like the outfit I modelled for with the ‘digivans’ I was very impressed not only with the price but the look of al five types of clothing. Outfits that I wore were from Primark, Tk Max, suits plus and unfortunately the name of the other store has just vanished from my memory. Still some great bargains to be found around the Haymarket and I hope people over the festive season people take full advantage. Take care all xx
